Fraport

by Jean Mercedes on November 2nd, 2007

You know an airport is too large when the employees are riding around inside the terminal on bicycles. That’s the case at Frankfurt airport, Fraport for short. Not only is it large, it is poorly layed out.

Every time I am there, I get lost. I am sure the signs are there just to make you walk further than necessary. They have added a lot of new shops, so that flyers now have more to look at than just the windows of Beate Uhse, a kind of red-light, German version of Victoria’s Secret, but they have also added a walking detour which routes everyone past the shops. I’m sure that there are short cuts. Isn’t it great to have something to aspire to? “When I grow
up, I want to know all of the short cuts at Fraport.”
