Kiss, Bow, or Shake Hands
I suspect everyone who reads this blog has at least heard of this book, but Kiss, Bow, or Shake Hands is definitely one of the most well-read books on doing international business around. Unfortunately, I have to admit that I’ve never read it. I have however, been at a seminar where one of the authors, Terri Morrison, spoke, and it was quite entertaining, as well as informative.
I suppose I’ve never read the book because most of my business is in Europe, and the bulk of that is in Germany, and I feel very comfortable there. That said, I know from working with clients overseas that even those of us who feel that we know a country can use a little more information, and a different perspective. That’s why it’s still on my list of books to read, and I will definitely read one of the regional versions should I find myself in Asia or Latin America.
For those of you who have already read the book, feel free to share your comments and opinions.
